Week 7: Reflection & Outlook

Looking back on this journey, I can see my digital skills growing step by step: from Canva design to email marketing, advertising analysis, and video creation. The biggest surprise was that digital business is not just about tools—it also requires creativity and problem-solving. Now I feel more confident applying these strategies in future projects, and I’m excited to use them to help small businesses embrace digital transformation.

Week 6: Technical Challenges & Short Videos

While managing my blog, I ran into technical issues uploading images, which was frustrating at first. After searching for tutorials, I solved the problem and realized technical ability is just as important as creativity. I also tried making a short video using Canva and TikTok. Combining music, text, and visuals was a new experience for me. The main challenge was how to make a few seconds both fun and meaningful. I discovered that videos are a powerful way to build emotional connections with customers.

Week 5: Advertising & E-Commerce Cases

This week we studied Meta’s targeted advertising. What surprised me was how businesses can target customers based on age, location, and interests. The challenge was understanding bidding and budgeting rules, but I realized this is a powerful tool for small businesses to maximize limited resources. We also analyzed Shopee’s flash sales, and I learned how vouchers and time-limited offers encourage quick purchases. Behind the scenes, data analysis drives these strategies, not luck.

Week 4: My First Email Marketing Attempt

This week I tried designing an email campaign using Brevo. I was impressed by how subject lines and visuals directly influence open rates. At first, formatting was confusing, but with more practice it became smoother. I think this tool is very practical for small businesses that need direct communication with customers. I also reflected on my mid-semester progress: although I’ve learned many tools, I still lack confidence in applying them creatively. However, my classmates’ sharing gave me lots of inspiration and motivation.

Week 3: Digital Experience & Customer Reactions

I visited a restaurant that used QR menus instead of printed ones. It saved time for the staff, but I also noticed that some older customers struggled with it. This made me realize that digitalization must balance efficiency with user-friendliness. In class, we also learned about analytics—like impressions, click-through rates, and conversion rates. These metrics reveal customer behavior, but interpreting them correctly is not always easy.

Week 2:Digital Platforms & Visual Design

This week I explored platforms like TikTok, Shopee, and Meta. I discovered that user behavior is completely different across platforms, which I found exciting. The challenge was figuring out which platform best suits which type of business. At the same time, I tried Canva to design a poster. The templates made the process fun and simple, but I initially got stuck with the layout. After watching tutorials, I managed to solve it and realized how much design quality can affect a business’s professional image.

Week 1: The Beginning of Digital Business
